SixShapes — a tile-matching game that lives in iMessage
SixShapes is out. It's a small tile-matching game built as an iMessage app, so it lives inside the conversation instead of off in its own silo. Six shapes, six colors, drag to match — easy to learn, hard to put down.
Because it runs in Messages, playing is social by default: you're matching while you text, and the board comes up right where the chat already is.
Why iMessage
Most casual games make you leave the conversation to go play. SixShapes leans the other way — the distribution channel is the conversation. No separate app to open, no friend invites to send. It's just there, in the place people already spend their idle taps.
This was my first iMessage build, and getting the extension lifecycle to behave took more wrangling than the gameplay did. Worth it. Dangerously easy to play when you should be doing literally anything else.
