Pawdigree is an AI pet breed identifier for iOS. We respect your privacy. This page explains, in plain language, what data the app touches and what we do with it.

What we collect

Pet photos you choose to scan. Each photo is sent to our server, then to Anthropic's Claude vision API, which analyzes coat, ears, snout, and other features to identify likely breeds. Photos are not retained on our servers and are not used to train AI models per Anthropic's API terms.
Pet profiles you save (name, sex, age, breed result, photo). These live only on your device in Apple's on-device storage. We never see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
Sign in with Apple (optional). If you choose to sign in, we store the Apple-provided user ID and your first name (if you share it) in iOS UserDefaults — only on your device. We do not transmit these to any server.
Purchase data. RevenueCat processes in-app purchases on our behalf. RevenueCat sees the purchase event, your anonymized Apple App Store user ID, and entitlement status. We use this only to verify purchases and restore unlocks. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

What we don't collect

No tracking. No IDFA. No third-party advertising SDKs.
No analytics tied to your identity.
No location data.
No contacts, microphone, or background data.

Third parties we share with

Anthropic — pet photos for breed identification (transient, not stored).
Supabase — our backend infrastructure that proxies the Anthropic call (no PII; rate-limit table stores only IP + count + date).
Apple — in-app purchases via StoreKit, optional Sign in with Apple.
RevenueCat — purchase verification + restore.

Your rights

You control your data. To delete everything Pawdigree has, delete the app from your device. Saved pets, photos, and Sign in with Apple identifiers go with it. We don't hold a copy.

Children

Pawdigree is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
